Welcome, and thanks for stopping by!  I created this blog to help family and friends track my whereabouts as I go trekking across…well, wherever I decide to go.  Suffice it to say, I’m an absolute globe enthusiast.  I can’t imagine my life without traveling, so, after transitioning in 2008 from being a full-time employee to contract-based consultant, I created a block of time to do more of it.  This year, I’ve spent time in Australia, Southeast and Central Asia and Europe — over 60 cities, in 14 countries, across 3 continents.

Where I go next is currently under consideration but, as always, it will certainly be an adventure.  In the meanwhile, I’ll be writing about my latest journey into the world of entrepreneurship as I transition from legal life into something that makes me a little happier.  Enjoy the site, and please feel free to leave comments or questions (don’t be shy).  I do my best to respond to every one.   ‘Wishing you all of the boldness, kindness and creativity you need to find — and do — what makes your heart jump.

Kelly, keep us posted. I had another friend who sailed the world in a catamaran and kept a similar journey. Its great that you’re following your spirit. Don’t worry, you’re not missing much in this economy :)

Ha! Good to hear from you, Vijay! Thnx for following, the encouraging sentiments, and the confirmation on the economy going to hell in a handbasket anyway in my absence. :)

Interesting!

Surprisingly i ran across your blog by doing a search for Perdonone Italy where my good friend Val Bertoia is visiting…it is his family’s hometown, and they have honored his father with the opening of the Bertoia museum (as i understand it)…

Once i travelled the world, now there is less travel but much virtual visiting…The only town i’ve visited in Italy is Naples, and i’ve always wanted to spend time seeing more of the country…now i’m busy with several small locally run non-profits (among them Stonehedge Gardens and Circle of Stones Theater Company, also Focus International which serves communities, children, and families in various places around the world) so the notes on non-profit charitable organizations are helpful too…

Thanks for the fascinating blog!
Best regards,
RJ

Thanks for the comment, RJ — great to hear about your service work in local communities! It’s such an important part of improving the world, one corner at a time. Glad you enjoyed the writings, and I hope you’re able to get out to see more of Italy someday. I didn’t get to venture into the South, but I really want to do so, and may be organizing a yoga/cooking retreat in Calabria in the future. I hear it’s just gorgeous. Keep enjoying the fantastic service stuff, and good luck on future travels. Best, KMN

Hi Kelly,

I came across your blog today while I was searching for something else. This was much more exciting (and a very unexpected surprise) than what I was looking for. I had no idea that you had become a recoverying attorney and had set off to experience this grand world of ours. I too would someday love to become a recoverying attorney, but until then, I’m consoled by the knowledge that one of us has found our way, and inspired by your lovely prose. Enjoy, live, laugh, experience…oh, and congratulations. All my best for your continued journey–spiritually and literally.

Dawn
